Ton-up ‘race’ pair get bans

A FERRARI speeding at 135mph was overtaken by a BMW doing 145mph during a “race” on the M6.

A police van clocked Ferrari driver Edward Hall, 39, at Todhills, Cumbria.

He was being overtaken by Fasial Tariq, 27, in September last year, Carlisle magistrates heard.

Hall, of Kirkby-inAshfield, Nottingham, was banned for 12 weeks and told to pay a total £1,104.

Tariq, of Northampton, was told to pay £811 and banned for 12 months.
