Drivers thinking of buying an electric car are in for a shock. The growing cost of public charging points, lack of off-street parking for charging and low resale values of the vehicles should make buyers pause for thought, warns the magazine What Car? Despite these teething problems, sales of electric cars have jumped a third since 2017.
