The letters A to Z have each been allocated a different number between 1 and 26. The number next to each word in this list is the sum total of the letter values in that word. So, for example, in GIN, G might equal 12, I 23 and N 10, or G might be 4, I 15 and N 26, or any other combinatio­n adding up to 45. We’ve placed some starter letters in the grid at the bottom — can you work out the values of the rest? Solutions on page 37
