4p fuel blow as oil soars
THE cost of filling up a car has risen £1 in four weeks with more rises on the way, experts warned.
Fuel rises of 2p pushed petrol to 121.8p and diesel to 124.6p as oil this week hit a three-and-a-half year high of $74.7 a barrel.
The AA warned drivers to expect another 2p rise.
Analysts said a barrel is set to top $100, the most since 2014, as Saudi Arabia seeks to boost its economy and fund the Yemen war.
One insider said: “They need higher prices.”
