Energy giant No3 ups bills

PRICE rises are in store for nearly one million Scottish Power customers in June.

The firm follows British Gas and EDF who have also announced hikes.

Customers on the standard variable tariff for gas and electric can expect a rise of 5.5%, adding an average £63 a year to bills.

Customers who pay quarterly will see an average £85 annual rise.

The firm blames rising wholesale energy costs.
