Bite cure will rattle snakes
A UNIVERSAL antidote for snake bites could be on the horizon after a breakthrough by UK scientists.
The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine team discovered it was possible to treat the bite from one snake with anti-venom from a different species.
They hope it will lead to an anti-venom that can treat the symptoms of bites without knowing the species of the snake.
Dr Stuart Ainsworth said: “This work is extremely exciting.”
