Meghan has turned her back on us
Family row on royal wedding snub deepens
MEGHAN Markle’s family are growing increasingly upset over not being invited to her wedding to Prince Harry next month.
Now retired US diplomat Michael Markle has said it was “uncalled for” that the former Suits actress had turned her back on the family.
And her half brother Tom, 51, has backed him saying the situation is just “ludicrous”.
Meghan, who walks down the aisle on May 19, was quick to call her uncle when she needed help getting work experience aged 20.
Using his connections, Michael secured her a prestigious internship at the US embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina, despite her late application.
But now the Air Force veteran feels Meghan, 36, has been quick to forget those who helped her growing up. Speaking from his Florida home, the 78-yearold said: “I knew the ambassador and I asked him if he could help, as her application was a little late.
“That’s why I don’t understand why she has been so indifferent towards me. It’s uncalled for.
“I helped her out and didn’t ask for anything in return.
“No Markles I know are going to the wedding, although you’d expect the bride’s father to be there.
“I’m disappointed, but I hope she has a good wedding.”
None of the bride-to-be’s half-siblings, aunts or cousins have been invited either – highlighting the growing family divide.
Yet stars including the Beckhams, TV “supervet” Noel Fitzpatrick, Serena Williams and Bollywood star Chopra are all getting invites.
Tom added: “It’s ludicrous. The fact none of our family has been invited when they did so much for her when she was young is wrong.
“My dad ploughed everything he had into Meghan and her education.
“We still don’t know if he is going or not.”
