Parents pay tribute to tot killed at pool

THE devastated family of a toddler who drowned at a swimming pool have spoken of their loss.

Tragic Rocco Wright, aged three, was described as “the most amazing, happy, joyful boy you could ever wish to meet”.

Parents Steven and Catharine said: “Rocco truly loved life and we will be left with a void forever that can never be filled.”

The youngster got into trouble at a David Lloyd health club in Moortown, Leeds, where his sister was attending a swimming lesson on Saturday.

Steven lost sight of his son before spotting him at the bottom of the pool and diving in to rescue him. He could not be saved.

David Lloyd said it was “deeply shocked” and was investigating the incident.
