A First for Beeb

AFTER the disappointment of The Generation Game comeback, the BBC is developing a new entertainment programme which seems destined for primetime on Saturday nights.

They are working on a version of First and Last, a competition format from Endemol Shine that is already being made in Brazil, China, Italy and Ukraine.

The show, described as Crystal Maze meets Ninja Warrior, starts with 11 contestants doing various challenges, where the objective is to finish neither first nor last. Three finalists are then placed in a booth where they have two minutes to decide how much money they are prepared to leave behind and how much they want to walk away with.

To win, a contestant must not take the least or most. Expect to see it on BBC1 next year, probably without Mel & Sue…
