Gongs for Girls
BBC’s Three Girls was the big winner at Bafta TV Craft Awards — with three gongs.
The drama, about the Rochdale sex exploitation scandal, was a winner for Philippa Lowthorpe in the Director: Fiction category, while Una Ni Dhonghaile received the Bafta for Editing: Fiction.
Nicole Taylor was recognised in the Writer: Drama category.
Five other shows clinched two gongs each at the awards in London.
They were Blue Planet II, Chris Packham: Asperger’s And Me, Game Of Thrones, The Crown and World War One Remembered: Passchendaele.
The Blue Planet episode Coral Reefs received the Sound: Factual award, while the team behind One Ocean got the Bafta for Photography: Factual.
I just filmed my leaving scene. I’ve still got two days left of filming. I’m going out in kind of very much a Rosie style. It’s hilarious the storyline. It is really, really funny.
