GABBY’S GONG MISSING
GABBY AGBONLAHOR has won an award at Aston Villa, but the exit-bound striker was not there to collect it.
Villa’s leading all-time Premier League scorer was commended for his charitable work in the community. But the 31-year-old was not at the club’s awards bash as Albert Adomah, James Chester and Jack Grealish collected Players’ Player of the Season, Fans’ Player and Goal of the Season, respectively.
Agbonlahor cited a prior engagement. Boss Steve Bruce (below) confirmed Agbonlahor will not be offered a new contract when his deal expires this summer. He has made just six appearances for Villa this season and has not played for the club this year.
