Former royal Guard told he is not British
A FORMER Grenadier Guard who took part in Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace has been turned down for a passport.
Tadeusz Polanski, 74, of Birmingham, who has lived here 60 years, was told he is not a UK citizen.
His Polish parents fled the Nazis and he was born in Southern Rhodesia before moving to the UK.
Tadeusz said his parents and siblings were British citizens, adding: “This is my country. It is very upsetting.” The Home Office has said it will be contacting him on his issue.
