Medic doubts over e-cigs
DOCTORS are clueless about the long-term health impact of e-cigarettes, the boss of Britain’s health watchdog admitted.
More research is needed, NICE director of health Professor Gillian Leng told MPs. More than two million Brits use e-cigs.
She said some may see them as an alternative, rather than a tool to quit.
“They are 95% safer than cigarettes but there is 5% that we don’t know about,” she warned.
