11yr-old killed saving girl, 3

A GIRL of 11 was killed in a pile-up as she saved her three-year-old cousin.

Iman Javed had been helping toddler Aaima Vasim to safety after a Clio hit her parents’ VW in fog.

But an HGV ploughed into the back of both cars when the lorry driver swerved to avoid a woman on the M61 near Bamber Bridge, Preston, Lancs.

Iman, who wanted to be a doctor, died instantly.

Mum Khaldah, of Rochdale, told an inquest: “Iman’s last act in this world was to help Aaima.”

Verdict: Road accident.
