PEP WON’T HALT BUYING

PEP GUARDIOLA is interested in teenage Brazilian defender Lucas Halter.

The centre-back turns 18 next month and was called up to the Brazil Under-20s this week.

Both Atletico Madrid and Roma are interested in the youngster, but Manchester City manager Guardiola could be ready to raid the South American market again having turned Ederson and another rising star, Gabriel Jesus, into Premier League champions.

The 6ft 2in Halter (right) plays for Atletico Paranaense and has won plaudits for his composure, his aerial presence and his ability to bring the ball out of defence.
