Young mum is torched by a neighbour
A MUM was left scarred from head to toe after being doused in petrol and set alight by a neighbour.
Kirsten Ashby, 27, was left with no fingertips, no ears, and the skin on her face and her hair melted.
She had gone to help a neighbour’s girlfriend, who was having a fit, last November. Still in hospital, she has had 80 operations.
Dad-of-five Raymond Bowen, 24, has been jailed for 19 years at Luton crown court after admitting attempted murder.
Kirsten’s mother Lynn Ashby said: “My lovely daughter had no face. Doctors said she might not pull through. They put her in a coma for four weeks.”
Mum-of-one Kirsten, of Milton Keynes, Bucks, said of Bowen: “He just stood smoking a fag, all smug.”
