NEIL ROBERTSON became the fifth former world champion to crash out in the first round at the Crucible.

ANTHONY Joshua has been offered £36million by Deontay Wilder to agree to his terms for their heavyweight showdown.

Wilder’s camp have made the counter offer of $50million to Joshua in response to his promoter Eddie Hearn tabling a £8.8m ($12.5m) offer.

One of Wilder’s managers Shelly Finkel is understood to have made the offer via email to Hearn, who is in New York for talks over a clash between Joshua and Wilder for the undisputed world heavyweight title.

Finkel is offering $50m or 50 per cent of the purse, whichever is bigger, to agree to their terms for the fight.

Wilder’s team want the fight to happen between September and December and for them to choose the venue.

They are keen to secure Wilder home advantage in the US and do not want a rematch clause.

Hearn is due to meet Finkel and Wilder’s other principal manager Al Haymon tomorrow in Manhattan and is keen to agree a deal between Joshua, who holds the WBA Super, IBF and WBO titles, and WBC king Wilder.
