Fleetwoods ‘hit brick wall with Lindsey’
FLEETWOOD Mac have said they simply “hit a brick wall” trying to work with ex-guitarist Lindsey Buckingham on tour.
The band parted ways with the 68-year-old earlier this month but remaining members Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks have stopped short of saying he was fired.
However Mick, 70, said: “Not to hedge around but we arrived at the impasse of hitting a brick wall.
“We made a decision we could not go on with him.
“Majority rules in terms of what we need to do as a band and go forward.”
The group has enlisted Crowded House’s Neil Finn and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell to replace Buckingham on their tour.
