The debut album from the Clean Bandit guest star is a competent representation of her talent, though hardly as sensational as it seems to think it is. Her pal and mentor Ed Sheeran co-writes cheesy childhood love anthem 2002, while the carnival dancehall grooves she favours (Can I Get Your Number) are often routine. Ann-Marie matches a wittily ‘nasty’ persona with a conscious agenda (Trigger) but the cyber-fantasy closer Machine borders on the trite.
