HAMMERS HOPING TO BAG EVANS
WEST HAM will make an approach for Jonny Evans when West Brom’s relegation is confirmed. The Baggies defender, 30, has a relegation escape clause of just £3million. Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Leicester and Everton are also in the hunt, but the Irons have a long-standing interest in Evans (left), who was also on the radar of Manchester City and Arsenal. Both those clubs are now understood to have other targets. Evans’ defensive partner Craig Dawson, moved into his favoured central role under caretaker boss Darren Moore after playing at right-back, is a summer transfer target for Burnley.
