CIP LETS RIP IN FAREWELL
DANNY CIPRIANI and James Haskell marked their final home appearances for Wasps by helping them to a play-off place.
Cipriani, thought to be joining Racing 92 or Stade Francais, took centre stage as England coach Eddie Jones looked on.
Jones has steadfastly refused to pick Cipriani, but can only have been impressed by his vision and handling.
Haskell stepped off the bench as Wasps were building a commanding lead, but it was the prelude to a mini collapse by the title contenders.
Leading 33-17 with Christian Wade (above) scoring two of their four tries, they lost focus and paid the price as Northampton struck twice.
A Jimmy Gopperth penalty eased nerves, but Haskell’s most telling contribution was a high tackle that led to a Josh Bassett try being disallowed.
