For many of us, “home” is the house we grew up in, rather than where we now live. Six in 10 people consider their childhood residence to be their true home, a poll shows.

Four in 10 said it was special as they were able to spend more time with family there, while 56% said they felt safer. The research, for door and window brand Origin, also revealed that 38% think their current home lacks the magic of their childhood one.
