1 in 5 stuck in low-paid jobs
ONE in five low-paid workers are trapped in a job for 10 years, a study says.
Retail is the worst sector for pay and career progression, followed by admin, transport and logistics, the Fabian Society poll found.
Half a million workers aged between 18 and 29 are in low-paid retail jobs.
TUC boss Frances O’Grady wants a £10 minimum wage and ban on zero-hours contracts.
She said: “We risk losing a generation of young workers to dead-end jobs.”
