Young faced homes snub

HARD-UP councils have turned away tens of thousands of youngsters at risk of homelessness, a charity reveals today.

Just 13% of those who asked for help in 2016/17 were accepted as legally homeless, and got housing.

And only a third of the 86,000 got a documented assessment, leaving 58% turned away without “any meaningful support”, Centrepoint said.
