Paddy: Christine’s my mum-ber one...
LOVED-UP dating show star Paddy McGuinness only has eyes for one beauty – his missus Christine. The host of ITV’s Take Me Out described how she is a “fantastic” mum to their four-year-old autistic twins Leo and Penelope. Paddy, 44, told OK! Magazine: “She’s beautiful on the outside but even more beautiful on the inside, trust me. What she does for our kids is amazing.” He said of bringing up the twins: “Every day we are learning to cope better. We’re excited for the future. There are days when it’s horrendous and there are other days when it’s mega-fantastic.” Christine, 30, in turn praised Paddy as a tremendous dad. She said: “He’s become more and more brilliant with the kids as they’ve got older. When they interact together, Patrick comes into his own. It’s lovely to watch.”
Their warm words seem to lay to rest fears for their marriage which emerged in February when Paddy was spotted arm in arm with All Saints singer Nicole Appleton.
Earlier this month Christine spoke of her fears their third child, 18-month-old Felicity, may also have autism.
She added: “Felicity can’t be diagnosed until she’s three. She could be copying the twins’ mannerisms, but even at six months old she was tensing her body when she was excited. She walks on tiptoes and she does a flapping arm movement when she’s happy or excited. These are common signs of autism.”
