MOTTY GETS A FUN FAREWELL

Football commentator John Motson will go out with a bang when he retires after 50 years. On May 19, BBC Two will have a host of programmes dedicated to him, including Motty: The Man Behind The Sheepskin, featuring interviews with Sir Elton John, Noel Gallagher and Sir Rod Stewart.

In Motty Mastermind, he will take over from John Humphrys as quiz master. Rounding off the night is Countdown to the Full Motty with some of his greatest commentaries.
