Fly through language course

-

TOURISTS heading abroad this summer will be able to learn the lingo as they fly.

Easy Jet and Emirates airlines are trialing free in-flight language courses.

Passengers can watch instructional videos, installed by language firm u-Talk, on TV screens on Emirates, and via their smartphones or tablets on easy Jet. Customers will log on to the airplane’s wi-fi to access up to 136 languages.

U-Talk plans to extend its service to other airlines. Chairman Richard Howeson said: “With very little effort, passengers can learn enough to order their first drinks or negotiate transport, all by the time their plane lands.”
