A real round trip for royal invite milko
THE hardest-working milkman in Britain is going to Buckingham Palace – but will not be taking the day off to do so.
Dedicated Martin Court, 69, will make the 300-mile round trip from Wales to London in a day so he does not miss his delivery.
Martin, who has never had a day’s sickness or a holiday since he started work at 18, was nominated to attend a Royal Garden Party by his customers.
He said at his home in Llanfoist. Monmouthshire: “The party is in the afternoon so I’ll have time to do my round, go to London and come back that night.”
Martin gets up at 3.30am every day to deliver to more than 350 houses.
He has only missed once – way back in 1982 when he got stuck in a blizzard.
