GABRIEL IS A REAL MAN NOW

- BY DAVID MADDOCK

BRAZILIAN star Gabriel Jesus believes he has come of age during Manchester City’s recordbreaking title charge.

And the young striker warned there is far more to come from both him and a team that already has a stranglehold on the Premier League.

In what will be an ominous message to City’s rivals, who already trail far behind this season’s champions, Jesus (below), 21, has grown up fast.

And he believes that means it’s only the start for the Manchester club, who have a frighteningly young team and can go on to dominate English football.

“I’m a very different person to when I arrived in January 2017. When I left Brazil, I was still a boy and today, I am a man.

“My mentality has changed, my communication skills have improved.

“I am growing and developing. I am happy with the numbers and also the trophies.”

City can smash the Premier League points record, and reach the magical 100-point barrier, if they win their final two matches.

They also scored 102 goals and lost just two games, as they ran away with the title.

The big question is whether they can do it again after such an epic season, but Jesus has no doubt.

“Can we win the league again next year? Yes of course,” he said. “We are growing incredibly well, on the pitch and off it.

“Hopefully there’s more to come.”
