I SAID at the time of Claude Puel’s appointmen­t at Leicester that it was an underwhelm­ing one. Some people hit back by telling me it wasn’t because he’s such a good coach. However, personalit­y is so important in a dressing room and that’s why Claudio Ranieri, another underwhelm­ing appointmen­t, ended up doing so well. He used his little quirks to get the players onside, something Puel (right) hasn’t been able to do.
