6 5 5 DARREN MOORE has been such a hit at West Brom, some players will consider staying if he is made permanent boss – even though the Baggies have been relegated.

Albion stars are putting pressure on the Hawthorns hierarchy to hand caretaker Moore the top job on a fulltime basis.

The 44-year-old took over from Alan Pardew last month after West Brom had suffered nine straight defeats and were 10 points from safety.

And he has overseen a five-game unbeaten run which briefly gave Albion hope of pulling off a great escape and yesterday earned him the Manager of the Month award.

Keeping Moore could help limit the number of players who now leave, but the final decision rests with owner Guochuan Lai.
