WAGNER IS IN THE MOOD TO PARTY ON

-

DAVID WAGNER has told his celebrating Huddersfield heroes: “There ain’t no stopping us now!”

Boss Wagner insists the fun has only just begun after revealing plans to mark the Terriers’ miracle Premier League escape with their latest big bash.

Town’s bleary-eyed squad return to training today after 48 hours off to mark their successful relegation battle.

Wagner’s men partied until the small hours of Thursday morning in London after dramatic draws at Manchester City and Chelsea saw them defy the odds. And there’s more madcap mayhem in the pipeline following today’s visit from Arsenal.

Wagner said: “If any group of players deserve to celebrate like they’ve never done before, then it’s these.”

Players, family and friends are preparing for a massive post-match shindig, Wagner confirming: “There will be another big celebration on Sunday.”

Town cancelled their flight home in order to celebrate the Stamford Bridge Houdini act, making their way back north via train the next morning.

Wagner said: “We scrapped the flight then delayed the coach to spend some hours in the city that never sleeps. The coach went without us in the end.”

The German assured fans he intends to remain in charge despite interest from Leicester and the Bundesliga.

Ahead of talks with chairman Dean Hoyle, he said: “It’s business as usual. I’m under contract and I’m very happy.”
