Big Sam admits he may be on his way out of Everton.. with Silva & Fonseca already in talks with the club

- BY DAVID MADDOCK

EVERTON boss Sam Allardyce has admitted for the first time he fears for his Goodison future.

The Toffees boss meets owner Farhad Moshiri next week for talks about his position, with fans clamouring for his departure,

Everton have already made enquiries about the availability of ex-Watford boss Marco Silva and Shakhtar Donetsk’s Paulo Fonseca.

Allardyce’s position will have

direct implications for Wayne Rooney’s future at the club. The former England skipper was left out of Everton’s final game of the season against West Ham because of a knee injury soon after being declared fully fit by Allardyce.

With the 32-year-old given permission to speak to MLS side DC United by Moshiri, Allardyce confirmed yesterday morning he would speak to the player at the training ground “to see where the situation lies”.

The manager also insisted: “He’s fit, and in training, yes, you’ll find out if he is playing on Sunday.”

But just an hour later Rooney was heading out of the club’s training ground following his scheduled meeting.

Of his forthcoming summit with Moshiri, Allardyce said: “We’ve got things to sort out, yes. I can’t speculate or predict what Farhad is thinking, I’ll only find out when I see him. I’ve done all I can do, that’s what I’ll say to him.”

Moshiri is under pressure to ditch Big Sam as fans are threatening a boycott.
