Millions of viewers have been gripped by ITV whodunit Innocent, the drama fans say is the new Broadchurch. The addictive mini-series, which has aired every night this week, follows David Collins (Lee Ingleby), who was recently acquitted of killing his wife Tara seven years ago.

With only his brother for support, he has been desperate to prove his innocence as the murder probe is reopened. Viewers have been drip-fed clues, leaving us full of theories. So who did kill Tara? And will the conclusion be satisfying?

Hermione Norris, who plays Tara’s sister Alice, assures us this is a one-off series that has “a beginning, middle and end” and Lee Ingleby warns viewers will “definitely be challenged”.

So, as we gear up for tonight’s finale, we sort through the clues, or red herrings, and examine the suspects...

Innocent concludes tonight on ITV at 9pm.
