Hutton is told by Bruce: U can stay

STEVE BRUCE has done a U-turn and is supporting full-back Alan Hutton’s claims for a new deal at Aston Villa.

Hutton (above), 33, was told in January he would be released this summer.

He is out of contract next month and Villa have younger options at right-back in Ahmed Elmohamady and James Bree.

But Hutton, moved to left-back, has impressed and boss Bruce said: “He’s gone to a different level since the switch and he works like a beast in training.”
