Bubbly sales will ‘sparkle’

BUBBLY drinks sales are fizzing as the “Markle sparkle” effect takes hold.

Tesco is expecting to shift 500,000 bottles of bubbly by today while the Co-op has seen prosecco sales treble and those of champers double.

Sainsbury’s is predicting 95,000 bottles of bubbly will sell this morning.

It is also stock-piling Kent wine Chapel Down – to feature at the royal couple’s reception – as sales are set to rocket by 300%.
