Band inspired by shock of attack

MANCHESTER band Prose were so moved after the attack they wrote the single Manchester City United in just a day.

Lead singer Mike Murray said: “At that point there were still a lot of people searching for family members and I feel like the whole city was just in complete shock.”

Seven months later, Mayor Andy Burnham spotted Prose playing at a homeless event and asked if they would consider making the song a charity single.

The Survivors Choir also asked if they could get involved and Prose arranged a studio session.

Mike says: “We made friends with them all. They are all such great people.”
