Rattled Davies hits out at Mirror
PHILIP Davies yesterday launched a tirade against the Mirror, which backed slashing maximum stakes on FOBTs.
Denying a conflict of interest after receiving gifts, he said his views come from his parents owning a betting office when he was young.
He added: “What I have is expertise. I’m the chairman of the All-Party Betting and Gaming Group. I know what I’m talking about. God forbid anyone who knows what they’re talking about should ever contribute to a debate in Parliament.” He added: “What’s your problem? You’ve got your own way. “Do we have to have some sort of North Korea-style politics where everybody agrees with the Daily Mirror?
