BBC2, 7pm This thoroughly British series celebrating rural entrepreneurs is as cosy as a cable knit jumper.

Kate Humble is ever-charming as she meets a new breed of trailblazers who hope to keep rural Britain alive. As she travels from county to county, uncovering those making a living off the land, it makes for peaceful viewing.

This week she’s in Yorkshire, where she meets dairy farmer’s son Sam who is producing the UK’s very first skyr. For those of you not up on your Icelandic delicacies, skyr is a cheese which has been a Scandinavian favourite since the Viking era.

Sam spotted the trend, went to Reykjavik for a crash course, then started his own Made In Yorkshire version.

Elsewhere, Kate meets baker Mina, who’s set up the only 100% gluten-free bakery in Leeds using ingredients she’s foraged locally.

And we meet a chartered surveyor who ditched the rat race to run a herb-fed poultry farm.
