NICOLA’S IN A HURRY TO RULE WORLD

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

NICOLA ADAMS claims she can be fast-tracked to a world title like Vasyl Lomachenko.

Former amateur star Lomachenko is already a three-weight world champ inside his first 12 fights and Adams says she is also ready to step up.

Adams, 35, blew Soledad del Valle Frias away inside one round at Elland Road and says her devastating display proves she can win a world title after just four pro fights.

“This was a big step up in class,” said the double Olympic champ. “She fought for a world title three times. People might think that was easy, but she’s an experienced girl.

“I’m another level. I’ve been in the ring, God knows how many times as an amateur. I’ve got all the experience I need. I’m a double Olympic champion and ready for the title shot.

“You’ve seen the likes of Lomachenko, he’s done the same thing. He’s had 12 fights and is stepping up in class all the time. “He’s already achieved almost everything Floyd Mayweather has done – and he’s only had 12 fights. I can box the best and I believe I can beat the best. I want to make the next step.”
