Nando bows out in style

-

FERNANDO TORRES scored twice in his final match for Atletico Madrid as his boyhood club were held to a 2-2 draw by Eibar.

Torres scored in either half as Atletico responded to Kike’s 35th-minute goal for the visitors. But, after Atletico star Lucas Hernandez was sent off in the 63rd minute, Ruben Pena equalised for Eibar.

Former Liverpool star Torres, in his second spell in Madrid, is now out of contract at Atletico, who were assured of second place in La Liga after Real Madrid’s draw at Villarreal.

On a dramatic last day in Italy’s Serie A, SPAL and Cagliari dodged the drop with final-day victories, meaning a return to Serie B for Crotone.
