We’re feeling mushy after £1m lotto win
A COUPLE won £1million on the lotto after a chance punt during a supermarket dash to buy mushy peas.
Sophie Richards, 25, asked hubby William, 32, to grab the 50p Batchelors Quick Soak Dried Peas to go with her roast dinner.
He was on his way back to Birchgrove, Swansea, from Comic Con in Cardiff and popped into an Asda – where he decided to grab five lucky dips too.
The dad-of-three said: “I bought my tickets because I found myself somewhere I wouldn’t normally have been and took it as a sign.
“I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw I’d won.”
The couple, who run a business called Toys and Masks, are in no rush to spend the cash – although William is tempted to see WrestleMania in New York.
