NHS Heroes night was so moving

What a wonderful event the Mirror and ITV NHS Heroes Awards was on Monday night. I shed more than a few tears at some of the amazing tales of courage. It was especially moving to see 12-year-old Thusha Kamaleswaran reunited with medics who saved her life after she was caught in a gang shootout in 2011. Everyone needs the NHS at some point in their lives, so it is fantastic to have an event which honours the heroes of our greatest institution.
