City line up Arteta to be the ‘new Pep’

MIKEL ARTETA is set to be given a new contract at Manchester City – and is seen as a potential successor to Pep Guardiola.

Arteta (above) was close to getting the Arsenal job and was bitterly disappointed after missing out, but City will make him feel a key part of the Etihad again.

They are set to give Arteta a contract extension and the club’s hierarchy have said they see him as a future manager because he is so highly gyg regarded.
