Clinical trials help needed

THE NHS urgently needs more people to take part in clinical trials to help find better treatments.

Volunteer numbers can fluctuate by 60,000 from year to year, and bosses want more to sign up for a stable base of participants.

The National Institute for Health Research said: “It’s one of our best chances to develop the care and treatment we receive in the future.”
