Yulia ‘could have been pressured’
THE Kremlin has claimed a statement by Novichok poisoning victim Yulia Skripal could have been staged by Britain.
Yulia, 33, said in a televised message on Wednesday she believed she and her ex-spy dad Sergei were victims of an assassination attempt.
Britain has blamed Moscow but yesterday President Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: “We cannot be sure of her condition, whether there is pressure, whether she made the statements of her own free will.”
He added: “Until now, the UK side has not complied with the Vienna Convention. Russia has not been provided with consular access to Yulia Skripal.”
