Goodwood tackles bad boys

-

RACEGOERS at Goodwood were limited to four pints and security was beefed up yesterday at the first meet since a brawl at the track left six people in hospital.

Film of the May 5 fight showed a man being kicked repeatedly in the head.

It led to criticism of security. Goodwood general manager Alex Eade has now acted to “prevent future incidents”.

Police with sniffer dogs will be at every race and there will be random bag searches. Mr Eade said the crackdown aimed to “discourage drug use and excessive alcohol consumption”.
