A RACING car smashes apart mid-air after clipping another vehicle.

Driver Ron Cumming amazingly survived as his single-seater spun and rolled, scattering debris at the TCR UK championships.

Marshalls rushed to help him at Knockhill Racing Circuit in Fife on May 6. He was treated in hospital and is now recovering at home.

An onlooker said: “It looked really dramatic but when the team got there I knew he was in good hands.” A GUNMAN raided a sex shop disguised in a dress and a wig, a court heard.

Graham Perryman produced a pistol from his handbag and held it to the head of a female assistant.

The 50-year-old father of one got away with £160 from the Liverpool store.

Perryman, of Toxteth, was jailed for five and half years after pleading guilty at Liverpool crown court.

Martine Snowdon, prosecuting, said the assistant still “had nightmares about being shot in the head”.
