Dad wasn’t the abusive one... that was Mum

Woody Allen’s son alleges mum Mia Farrow was violent and brainwashe­d her family

never happened. He goes as far as claiming Mia, now 73, was an abuser.

He describes her alleged violence and claims her physical and emotional abuse resulted in the tragic suicides of two of his siblings, plus another’s spiral into an Aids-related death.

The 39-year-old family therapist says in his blog: “Given the incredibly inaccurate, misleading attacks on my father, I can no longer stay silent as he continues to be condemned for a crime he did not commit.”

Allen is alleged to have sexually assaulted then seven-year-old adopted daughter, Dylan, on August 4, 1992, in Bridgewate­r, Connecticu­t, at the country home of Mia Farrow.

There was huge animosity between Woody and Mia, who never married, triggered by the discovery months earlier of his relationsh­ip with her grown-up adopted daughter, Soon-Yi.

But the director, now 82, still visited his kids – and that morning Mia was out with a friend. Moses insists Allen was never alone with Dylan.

And he pulls apart Dylan’s account, which includes memories of a train set in the attic where she says the attack took place, insisting there was no such toy and the attic was not accessible.

He asserts Mia concocted the story of the assault, after a witness claimed Allen had his head in Dylan’s lap, and pressurise­d Dylan to record an account of it, and Moses to back it.

He reminds readers that a sixmonth criminal investigat­ion found “no credible evidence” against Allen.

Moses, adopted by Mia when he was two, goes on to talk of his mum’s troubled upbringing, during which Mia told him she had been a “victim of attempted molestatio­n”. This was exacerbate­d, he says, by her early failed marriage to Frank Sinatra, and second marriage to Andre Previn.

Moses adds: “It pains me to recall siblings, some blind or physically disabled, being dragged down a flight of stairs to be thrown in a bedroom or closet, then having the door locked.
