Mikey to Corrie on
Corrie’s Mikey North has grown from “chav to dad” in 10 years on the show but his character Gary Windass has a long way to go. And, after fans see the arrival of his baby on Monday, they might witness a new side to the character during a showdown with Pat Phelan. But, whatever happens, Mikey has signed up for another year on the soap. He says: “I’ve just agreed to stay on again, for my 11th year, which is crazy. “This has been my best year and I’m looking forward to what comes next.” Apart from his feud with Phelan, Gary has been at the centre of things after the baby with Nicola Rubinstein – which didn’t go down at all well with girlfriend Sarah Platt.
